Tiger Stripes!

After yesterdays writing, I attended an Ann Summers party, for my sisters birthday. The room was full with women of all ages, sizes, and personalities. We had the prim and proper to down right dirty, the one thing we all had in common though were children! Everyone was looking for lingerie that was sexy, but pushed there boobs the right way and hid stretch marks. Personally, I hate babydoll lingerie, due to my dress size, they give me the figure of an 8 year old boy. Literally hides all my curves, flattens my boobs and takes away all that is woman about me. But yes it hides my stretch marks, but I still feel rubbish so whats the point? I saw a post on facebook a few days ago, it said 'Your body is not ruined, your a goddam tiger who earned her stripes'. I view every single one of my 'tiger stripes' an achievement, and a memory. The first time I felt my unborn baby kick, when they got hiccups, it reminds me of the unstoppable force of love that coursed through my body, and the amazing, beautiful moment of looking at all of my three children, for the first time. Why would I be ashamed of something, that was caused by something so magical? So next time your choosing your sexy undies, remember, your tiger stripes are part of you, and they are nothing to be ashamed of, especially in front of your partner. Now while I think being proud of them is excellent, having a few hanging out of jeans that are too tight, and tops that are too short looks horrific. There is nothing worse than wearing clothing too small for your size, and having bits hanging out everywhere. Wearing clothes that are actually your dress size flatters the figure, whatever shape and size you may be, never ever be tempted to buy a size smaller in the hope that is the size you are, I tried that once after having my first child. The result was an unattractive muffin top, which makes me shudder when I remember it! On the other hand, make sure clothes aren't too big, they will drown out your figure! Oh and before I forget, I managed a slightly fashionable outfit today, a little floral summer dress that pulled in at the waist, with flip flops! The dress was really comfortable, as were the flip flops and actually managed to pull off a 'chic' look. I used very natural make up and hair, so I didn't look overdressed for the occasion. After all, I was only nipping to tesco with the kids! Tomorrow is car boot day, off to sell my old clothes, that I have deemed unsuitable, unfashionable or the wrong size, with the intent of selling them for more clothes money. However, this means getting out of bed extremely early, which means my clothing may be questionable! Time will tell :-)
